Using an inadequate toothbrush – If you have a hard toothbrush or if you press it too hard on your teeth, there is a risk that over time you will show a sensitivity to hot, cold, sweet or sour foods and/ or drinks. The solution is to opt for a soft toothbrush and be gentler while brushing your teeth.
Using whitening toothpaste- Many of the products designed specifically for teeth whitening contain chemicals that may sensitize the teeth, in time. Make sure to alternate normal toothpaste with whitening toothpaste, to avoid problems.
Excessive use of mouthwash – The content of some mouthwash products as well as using them too often may increase dental sensitivity. Alcohol in particular erodes the enamel , which can make you feel pain when brushing your teeth.
